My collection of Major League Baseball memorabilia consists of one item... yes, count it... one! In the winter of 1975, I wandered into an antiques store in Saline MI and noticed an autographed baseball. The shop owner said it was a team ball from the 1968 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers with original autographs. I bought it. Several years and a little research later, I discovered that it was actually a 1969 ball, not 1968. OK, so I got snookered. But a baseball with original autographs from THESE players is well worth it to me, even if it isn't a 1968 ball.
